Ascend Tools’ Multi-Purpose Electrical Shears cut soft stranded wire, strips wire and deburs electrical boxes. It has a cable cutting notch close to the fulcrum for high leverage and cuts 12 AWG wire easily. The notch is deep for lodging thick wire into it and facilitates single step cutting. Its blades are made of high carbon alloy steel from Japan and are infused with Molybdenum and Vanadium through a proprietary manufacturing process to harden (Rockwell Standard HRC 58-60) the cutting blades needed for cutting wire. One blade is micro-serrated to avoid slippage, and the other can be sharpened to extend life. The tang on the blades is long for efficient force transfer. These Electrical Shears are an electrician's choice scissors for performance and durability. <br>These 5.5" shears are meant for clean cuts into soft wires (e.g., SOOW 14/3 or SJOOW 12/3 cord). The sharp and hardened blades are meant for hundreds of clean cuts, thus reducing hand fatigue. It can also cut thin copper sheets. A crimping function is provided in-between the handles. The outer edges of the blades incorporate a file with a series of sharp, parallel teeth to file off burrs from electrical boxes or smoothing surfaces. • ‌APPLICATIONS: Specially designed to cut soft stranded wire such as SOOW, SJOOW.  It will also cut thin copper sheets (up to 0.5mm), strip insulation, cut cable ties, solder wick and other electrical materials.  It hosts crimping function to crimp 0.5mm (~4 mm2) terminals

• PORTABILITY: The shears are small in size (overall length 5.5 inches / 140 mm, blade length 1.25 inches / 32 mm) and light weight (5.5 oz / 154.2 grams).  It comes with a plastic holster.
